| Within the Foundation each project, after its
presentation, is scrutinized.
The Board of Directors, after receiving counsel from qualifed auxiliary
experts, expresses its opinion to the Board of Administrators which,
in the case of a positive outcome, oversees the disbursement of
funds necessary to cover the absolute minimum starting costs.
It’s evident from this that the breadth of the inquiry undertaken
in its evaluations of projects is quite wide, including:
- its global-mindedness and suitability
- the response to an effective and concrete need in the country
involved
- a country’s “intervention priority”
- good diplomatic relations with the country in question
- assurances that said country is able to guarantee the project’s
progress
- guarantees from and eventual penalization of the entity who
asks for or carries out the work if it is not completed or if
it’s abandoned after the initial phasela
In order to fulfill its commitments in a timely
way and to be able to plan with necessary rigor many of its concomitant
operations, a precise plan of action is to always be on hand which
indicates the progress of its works, so that at any given moment
the Foundation may check up on and verify the status of any one
of them. |
