| The philosophy which informs the Foundation
is that of a world where information is available to all, where
all may live in dignity, where help is guaranteed if and when necessary,
where human rights are respected, where work forms an essential
element of both culture and hope for wide-scale social well-being,
and where art and culture can be considered the common patrimony
of all humanity.
The
Foundation likes to imagine our planet as a place where inequalities
between human beings are reduced and where freedom and respect between
individuals are possible, where nature’s riches are equally
divided.
More concretely, putting the philosophy of the
Foundation in action means:
- promoting social plans;
- searching out new ways of living to guarantee a better life;
- stimulating and selecting new projects that assure a better,
healthier environment;
- urging individuals to perfect their studies and their knowledge
through cultural projects;
- promoting art in all its forms as a point of reference and
as evidence of man’s history and evolution, as well as the
utmost expression of man’s intelligence: a patrimony to
safeguard, look after and hand down;
- etc.
